Week 4

Week 5 BOT Reporting

  • The purpose of collecting school wide data is to ensure we make evidence based decisions for teaching and learning of current students and to give us the opportunity to plan for future students.
  • There is data we use as a practitioner, as a school, as a reporting tool for the BOTand to help us make decisions about annual goals of achievement.
  • All students achieving under their expected level can have additional tools used – eg. If you want further information on a student then you can use the STAR tool for example.
  • Please ensure that the tools we use for assessment are not used in other ways – e.g. an Asttle writing set task is used for assessment – not used to write throughout the term if using e.g. a provided picture prompt.
  • This schedule does not limit those tests that need to be done more often for children you think have shifted – you can GLoSS on and off at each strategy throughout the term in order to make teaching and grouping decisions.
  • Teachers are expected to collect and record what information is necessary in order to report to parents and inform teaching/planning – e.g. we haven’t put down a particular spelling test – as this differs for needs; but you may still want to have collected the information and shared this with parents.

Reporting to Parents

Term 1, Week 5 - Goal Setting 3-way Conferences

Term 2, End Term - Mid Year Written Reports

Term 3, Week 4 - Goal Setting 3-way Conferences

Term 4, End Term - End Year Written Reports

However, teachers can expect parents at any time to discuss progress as we have a ‘no surprises’ expectation at reporting times.
